The Dereham Times
is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold around the town of Dereham (also known as East Dereham) and nearby towns and villages in the centre of Norfolk
, including Swaffham.
It was established in 1880 as a spin-off from the 1864 foundation the People’s Weekly Journal. Originally it was called the Dereham and Fakenham Times and had a sister edition for the Fakenham area, the Fakenham and Dereham Times. Since 1987 the Fakenham edition’s been known as the Fakenham & Wells Times.
It’s published by Archant Norfolk (part of the Archant media group’s Archant Anglia division) from editorial offices in Dereham.
It comes out on Fridays. A paid-for e-edition is also available via the website.
