Bury Free Press

The Bury Free Press is a weekly tabloid newspaper based in Bury St Edmunds and sold widely across north-western Suffolk and south-western Norfolk, including the towns of Newmarket, Stowmarket, Mildenhall, Thetford and Brandon.

It’s published by Anglia Newspapers, part of the East Midlands branch of nationwide regional and local newspaper publishing group Johnston Press.

It was founded in 1855 as The Bury Free Press, West Suffolk Observer, and General Advertiser, but shortened its title to its present title at the beginning of 1856. There are four editions:

  • Stowmarket

It comes out on Fridays.
